So I picked this up on a recommendation, and even though that has a bad track record for me (I usually have to go hunting for poetry I enjoy) this one was pretty good.It deals with epic themes like religion, war, and pain, and some of the topics remind me of a darker, modern Alexander Pope. A lot of personal conflict is evident in it, and some of the passages are very quotable, particularly for those born philosophers among us.

This book is filled with issues that we all think about, if not want to change.The poems are so moving, with topics regarding relationships to personal loss & gain, to the political aspect of greed, warfare & intelligence, regardless of what country you live in, the reader can relate. This book made me read with an open mind & a heart. It made me have goosebumps & made me question my thoughts on others struggles. Its a real book, with real thoughts, real feelings & real words. If you are interested at all in any type of moving emotion, get this book. I promise you will get chills & your mind will wander off with questions. Empowerment for sure! Kudos to this author for his work!
